Hi, I'm Patrick Wood.
I've spent 25+ years building at the intersection of design, engineering, and business — helping companies turn messy digital environments into systems that actually work.
I started Nuwud Multimedia in 1999 because I kept seeing the same problem: talented people with strong visions, running on digital infrastructure that was never designed to support what they were actually trying to do.
Today, the work has evolved — but the pattern hasn't changed. Founders still struggle with scattered tools, fragile platforms, and systems that don't talk to each other. That's still the problem I solve.
Where I've been
Built interactive systems and production tools for entertainment companies — learning early that technology is only useful when it serves the creative vision, not the other way around.
Designed and developed commerce systems across Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom platforms. Developed a deep understanding of how conversion, operations, and customer experience connect behind the scenes.
Built WebGL-powered interactive experiences, 3D organizational tools, and immersive product environments — pushing what's possible in a browser while keeping it purposeful.
Designing AI-enhanced workflows, diagnostic tools, and operational systems that bring real intelligence to business processes — not novelty, but infrastructure.
How I think about work
Structure over features
Adding more features to a broken system just creates more problems. I fix the structure first — then the right features become obvious.
Clarity before execution
I don't start building until we both understand what needs to be built and why. That saves time, money, and the frustration of rebuilding something that was wrong from the start.
Systems thinking, not silos
Most problems aren't isolated — they're symptoms of disconnected systems. I look at the full picture and build solutions that work across your business, not just one corner of it.

Nuwud Multimedia LLC is a solo consultancy — intentionally. When you work with me, you work directly with the person designing, building, and maintaining your systems. No handoffs, no account managers, no junior team learning on your project.
That model means I'm selective about who I work with. I take on a small number of engagements at a time so each one gets the depth of attention it deserves.
